2nd Dream
Second Dream August 3, 2020. I grabbed a bottle of Russian Imperial Stout from the ice in the freezer, set it on the counter, then raised my glass and finished the beer. Wait, I started to wake, I hadn’t been drinking tonight. That wasn’t the counter or freezer in my house. Was this a dream?…
1st Dream
7/31/2020: First Dream 7:30 am: I don’t remember my dreams often, but I just woke from a very vivid one that Marilyn and Carol were both in. It was a Hallmark movie setting. Carol and I were opening a trendy 4 story retail building in an area that looked like the London setting for Last…
One Answered Prayer
One Answered Prayer Many of the times I’ve prayed, the results took the form of indirect help, half answers that might have been coincidence. About this Blog
Like most people, I had led a pretty uneventful life into my 50s. Married, two kids, a few dogs over the years. My life was the typical ordinary suburban dad’s life.
That changed two summers ago with by wife’s death. She suffered a variety of mental and physical issues that led to her taking her own life. That ended my “ordinary” life.
Since then, I’ve had many changes to contend with. Taking care of my family, taking care of myself, trying to find where I fit into today’s world being alone. This has included dating and relationships– including another romance that ended with a tragic death.
Through my own struggle to comprehend what led to her choice, and to try to figure out my own life carrying on, I started writing. Sometimes a chronology, other times specific event or dream, I started feeling a compulsion to get my thoughts down. Some are just ramblings at this point, but they have helped me cope with the world I find myself in now.
I decided to put some of these writings “out there” for the world. This, like life, is a work in progress.
